Napa Valley Community Housing

Napa Valley Community Housing

What They Do:

Transform the lives of seniors, children, families, farmworkers, individuals and veterans by building and managing safe, attractive, affordable homes. Provide classes in citizenship, finance, immigration, healthy cooking, fitness, and arts and crafts. Connect residents to numerous organizations specializing in health care, education, legal and job training services.

During its 41 years in Napa County, Napa Valley Community Housing has built, purchased, or renovated over 900 apartment homes, providing safety and security to tens of thousands of Napa Valley residents.

In 2017, after a rigorous application process, they received national Community of Quality® (COQ) recognition and the COQ INDUSTRY AWARD – one of three recipients in the nation.

Their Home Sharing Program matches home seekers with people who have extra space in their home. As of May 2018, 40 home seekers have found homes in Napa and the program has received 1,289 inquiries, interviewed 228 clients and participated in 98 outreach events.
