Napa Valley Community Housing
What We Do:
We transform the lives of children, families, seniors and farmworkers by providing safe and affordable homes. During COVID, our Resident Services assists residents with unemployment and rental assistance applications, connects residents to mental health services and food banks, and keeps residents current with accurate emergency pandemic and fire information.
The housing crisis is real; Napa is no exception.
According to NLIHC’s 2020 report, Napa County’s minimum wage of $13 requires an individual to work 84 hours/week to afford fair market rent for a modest one-bedroom home. Out of Reach 2020: California
For 43 years we’ve built, purchased, or renovated over 900 affordable homes in Napa County, providing safety, stability and wellness to tens of thousands of residents.
NVCH currently serves nearly 1900 residents in more than 500 affordable homes in Napa, Yountville and St. Helena. Additionally, our Home Sharing Program, which started in 2015, matches home seekers with home providers.
Other Ways to Help:
Volunteer opportunities:
- Advocate for the critical need of affordable housing in Napa
- Promote NVCH’s Home Sharing program in the community
- Spread the awareness and good work of NVCH by sharing our Facebook page, e-newsletters and annual report

- Additional printers/copiers and print cartridges for seven Community Rooms due to increased demand from online schooling
- New computers or tablets for low-income residents
- Monetary donations to support children’s online cooking and baking classes
