Puertas Abiertas Community Resource Center
What We Do:
Empower families to make positive changes by improving educational skills, becoming engaged in the community, and achieving self-sufficiency. Align services with partners in private, public, and nonprofit sectors to meet clients’ most pressing needs. Since 2005, Puertas Abiertas has provided immigration assistance, mental health wellness education programs, and other social services.
Puertas Abiertas CRC’s goals are to empower families to make positive changes in their behaviors by accessing health and social services, improving education skills, becoming more engaged in the community, and achieving self-sufficiency. To reach these goals, we adapt and realign services with our community partners to meet the needs of underserved communities in Napa Valley.
Our programs based on education, immigration, social services, and mental health include case mentoring, free tax preparation, civic engagement opportunities, Mexican passport/ID clinics, and senior and couples’ support groups, classes in English as a Second Language, Plaza Communitaria (Spanish Literacy), citizenship, basic computer skills, and more. We have proudly served more than 3,500 community members.
