Soroptimist International of Napa
What We Do:
Education is the key to unlocking economic empowerment of the world’s women and girls. Soroptimist International of Napa is one of few local organizations that provides grants to women re-entering higher education or training. Through education, we offer women and girls opportunities and the power to make healthy decisions for themselves and their families.
Since 1939, Soroptimist International of Napa has provided grants to women re-entering higher education or training, such as the Live Your Dream award; The Future is You scholarship for local high school senior girls who will be the first in their family to attend college; and Our Violet Richardson award recognizing young high school females for their volunteerism.
Soroptimist International of Napa also participates in hands-on activities that support women/girl-empowering programs, such as NEWS, Mariposa S-Club, Girls on the Run, and Monarch Family Justice Center.
