10,000 Degrees
10,000 Degrees - College Graduates Who Change the World! We help Napa Valley students from low-income backgrounds get to and through college and into meaningful careers so they can positively impact their communities and the world. Equity focused and student-centered, we have no GPA or test score requirement and support all students regardless of documentation status.
Our near-peer mentors are embedded on six high school campuses across the Napa Valley, inspiring belief in our students’ unlimited potential and walking side by side with them throughout their college journey.
Our community college students, including those at Napa Valley College, receive support in transferring to, and succeeding at, 4-year universities, transferring at 2x the national average.
Over 80% of our students graduate with a bachelor’s degree. Only 10% take out any student loans. After graduation, students continue to receive career guidance and graduate school readiness support. 100% of our students come from low-income backgrounds, 93% are students of color, and 92% are first in their family to go to college.

Enabling ALL youth to reach their full potential - Opening the door to great futuresOur Clubs serve over 2,700 youth across 13 sites in Napa and American Canyon every day, providing vital academic enrichment, homework help, and tutoring—especially for English Language Learners (ELLs) and first-generation students. Many of our members are still recovering from the learning loss caused by COVID-19, and we are working hard to help them meet and exceed academic benchmarks. Over 74% of our members live below the area’s median income. Thanks to generous support from donors like you, no child is ever turned away due to an inability to pay. Our programs ensure every child has access to safe, supportive spaces where they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Beyond academics, we emphasize social-emotional learning and mental well-being, helping youth build resilience, confidence, and leadership skills. Our clubs also support families by offering reliable care during critical out-of-school hours, reducing risk and increasing stability. As a result, our impact extends beyond our members—strengthening families, fostering equity, and building a stronger, more inclusive community for all.

Great Futures Start HereWe provide a safe, positive, and unique place where kids and teens from St. Helena and Calistoga can learn, grow, and belong. More than 1,300 youth walk through our doors each year —63% qualify for free or reduced lunch, and many face barriers to success that extend beyond the classroom. We offer daily after school programs, seasonal summer camps, and regular teen services that include academic support, mental health retreats, job readiness training, and mentorship.
Our staff—most of whom reflect the backgrounds of the youth we serve—create consistent, caring relationships that make all the difference. We also rely on volunteers, community partners, and donor support to help us meet growing needs.
Whether it’s a kindergartener learning to read, a teen exploring college options, or a child finding joy and safety in play, we help local youth discover their strengths and realize their full potential. Every donation helps us provide hope, opportunity, and a sense of belonging—right here in our community.

Building Tomorrow’s Leaders Through Service and IntegrityWe serve our community by mentoring and educating teens through a structured, disciplined program that prepares them to face life’s challenges with confidence, compassion, and integrity. Our nonprofit provides a safe, supportive environment where teens—many from underserved backgrounds—develop leadership skills, a sense of civic responsibility, and pride in service.
What makes us unique is our hands-on, military-style training model led by dedicated volunteers, including veterans, first responders, and public servants. These role models lead by example, instilling high moral and ethical standards in every teen. In 2024, we worked with over 150 teens, completed more than 2,000 hours of community service, and supported events ranging from neighborhood cleanups to emergency preparedness trainings.
Beyond measurable outcomes, our greatest impact is intangible: we build confidence, foster purpose, and inspire future leaders. As our mission states, we aim to “mentor, educate, and prepare teens for the challenges they will face in the future,” while teaching them to be compassionate toward the communities they live in and serve.

Women Supporting Women — Building a Brighter Calistoga Through Service, Friendship, and EmpowermentSoroptimist International of Calistoga creates life-changing opportunities for women and girls through education, mentorship, and community-based support. Scholarships to deserving high school seniors are at the core of our mission. Our Palisades Pals scholarships support students at Calistoga’s alternative high school who face unique challenges. In addition, we provide Live Your Dream Awards to women overcoming personal and financial obstacles to pursue higher education or job training.
Other community programs include supporting students in their readiness to learn and to lead. Our Read Aloud Partners Program promotes early literacy by bringing weekly story time and free books—many bilingual—to over 400 local students, helping to close educational gaps from the start. Through S-Club, we mentor high school girls, nurturing leadership, confidence, and a spirit of service.
These programs directly serve Calistoga’s most vulnerable populations and are powered by local volunteers and donations. Every initiative is designed to uplift, inspire, and equip women and girls to shape their own futures—and in doing so, strengthen the fabric of our entire community.
Donated: $5,830Donations: 45Connolly Ranch Education Center
Connecting Children to Nature through Education, Exploration, and Play on the FarmConnolly Ranch is the only education center in Napa where children are outdoors, in nature, interacting with farm animals. Each year over 10,000 people visit our ranch, through field trips, open houses, camps and classes.
For much of the community, we are the only place to see and touch farm animals up close. This means that we are the only place where many members of our community can experience the number of health benefits that come from interacting with farm animals like lower cortisol, enhanced social skills, improved mood, elevated immune function.
Additionally, our outdoor, nature-based education model is shown to increase self confidence, empathy, responsibility, and a sense of purpose in children while empowering them to become the next generation of environmental stewards.

We engage the Napa community by cultivating relationships, initiating partnerships and harnessing generosity for our students. Donated: $4,100Donations: 34Sex Ed Justice Project
Providing sexual reproductive health education, training, and support that is medically accurate and upliftingOur goal is to provide comprehensive sexual and reproductive health education to students throughout Napa Valley. Students are required to have access to a comprehensive sexual education curriculum at least once in both middle and high school, but gaps in funding and embarrassment discussing sensitive topics with a regular classroom teacher can sometimes alter the quality and scope of the education provided. We help fill this gap through our three core activities:
1) Educating youth directly
2) Training teachers and professionals
3) Dreaming towards a world where there is reproductive justice for all.In the 2024-2025 school year, SEJP provided comprehensive sexual health education to more than 700 students. We provide sexual reproductive health education, training, and support that is medically accurate and uplifting. We strive to have a positive impact on outcomes related to sexual health, consent, and healthy relationships. We promote health equity, especially for disadvantaged groups facing systemic barriers to healthcare. Our inclusive and informative program combats misinformation and reduces barriers to reproductive health and healthcare.

Supply the Future: Free Classroom Materials for Public School Teachers— Helping Teachers Help KidsWe address a critical gap in education by providing free classroom supplies to public school teachers across Napa County. Every year, teachers are forced to spend their own money to provide basic supplies, averaging $673 annually per teacher. We seek to alleviate this burden by offering teachers essential classroom materials at no cost, ensuring that every teacher has the resources necessary to foster academic success. We serve approximately 300 teachers annually, positively impacting an estimated 7,200 students each year.
We believe every teacher should be able to have the basic core supplies needed by their students. At our latest teacher shopping days we served 25 schools and 151 teachers in Napa County. We want to ensure that we are able to continue providing our teachers with support and materials to continue being successful.
