How We Impact the Community
Napa Bookmine Literary Foundation was founded to enrich and inspire the Napa Valley community through literary and cultural programs and resources.
For the last year, our focus has primarily been on the 17,600 school-aged children from socioeconomically disadvantaged households, who are 54% of all of Napa County’s kids. Many don't have books at home and that can be a key factor impacting their success in both school and life.
To empower life-long learning, Napa Bookmine Literary Foundation established Books4Kids and donated 10 books to every first-grade student at five schools over the course of the 2021-2022 school year with plans to expand to additional Napa elementary schools during the 2022-23 school year. Books and schools are selected in coordination with NVUSD’s Director of Curriculum and Library Services Coordinator.
Other Ways to Help
We are looking for volunteers to collect used/new books, inventory books, stamp books in preparation for distribution and deliver books to schools at Books4Kids events. We're also looking for a volunteer to coordinate and expand social media presence. |
