How We Impact the Community

Our goal is to provide comprehensive sexual and reproductive health education to students throughout Napa Valley. Students are required to have access to a comprehensive sexual education curriculum at least once in both middle and high school, but gaps in funding and embarrassment discussing sensitive topics with a regular classroom teacher can sometimes alter the quality and scope of the education provided. We help fill this gap through our three core activities:

1) Educating youth directly
2) Training teachers and professionals
3) Dreaming towards a world where there is reproductive justice for all.

In the 2024-2025 school year, SEJP provided comprehensive sexual health education to more than 700 students. We provide sexual reproductive health education, training, and support that is medically accurate and uplifting. We strive to have a positive impact on outcomes related to sexual health, consent, and healthy relationships. We promote health equity, especially for disadvantaged groups facing systemic barriers to healthcare. Our inclusive and informative program combats misinformation and reduces barriers to reproductive health and healthcare.

Testimonial

I just wanted to reach out and let you know how much you impacted my early life and relationship to sex – I have been successful in avoiding pregnancy and STDs, and honestly owe the fact I didn’t get pregnant as a teenager to the education you provided.
