How We Impact the Community
It’s impossible to really know the number of wildlife in Napa County annually that get injured, separated from their parents, or contracted an illness, but any of those conditions in the wild can be a death sentence. When a caring person finds such an animal, NWR is the only organization permitted by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife to rescue, rehabilitate and release them back to the wild. NWR is their only second chance! When they are orphaned, we raise them. When they are sick or injured, we heal them. When they are ready, we get them back to their wild lives.
In 2021, we aided 1635 orphaned, injured, or sick birds and mammals. Additionally, our enhanced education and outreach programs reached 635 individuals. Your support enables this work, helping to maintain the ecological balance of the Napa Valley.
