Announcing the Hilary Zunin CanDo Spirit and Service Awards
We are thrilled to share that Napa Valley CanDo will be presenting a new award at this year’s Give! Guide Kickoff Party: the Hilary Zunin CanDo Service Award, alongside the Hilary Zunin CanDo Spirit Award.
The CanDo Spirit Award honors the energy and promise of emerging nonprofit leaders under 35, while the new Service Award recognizes the wisdom, perseverance, and lasting impact of volunteers over 35 who continue to serve our community year after year.
Like Hilary Zunin-whose vision, compassion, and leadership inspired countless acts of service-recipients of these awards exemplify how one person’s dedication can strengthen the fabric of our community. Together, these honors celebrate Hilary’s legacy across generations.
How to Nominate
Each award requires two applications: one from the nominator and one from the nominee. To submit a nomination, select the appropriate link below. They both must be submitted by Friday, October 3rd.
Eligibility
These awards are open to any nonprofit in the Napa Valley-participation in CanDo’s Give!Guide is not required.

Exciting News
We’re thrilled to announce the nonprofits selected for this year’s CanDo Give!Guide!
This will be our biggest year yet – with a total of 91 nonprofits and a record-breaking 19 first-time organizations!
The list of nonprofits is below.
As nonprofits across the country face growing funding challenges, community support is more important than ever.
Fundraising for the 2025 campaign begins November 1 and runs through December 31.
Once the campaign launches on November 1, donors will be able to:
- Read about each nonprofit on their individual profile pages – organized into seven easy-to-navigate categories.
- Meet the Give!Guide’s generous sponsors.
- Learn about the Hilary Zunin Spirit Award, honoring one of CanDo’s inspiring founders.
- Mark your calendar!
Join us for our festive Kick-Off Party on November 13, where you’ll have the chance to meet representatives from participating nonprofits as well as supporters, friends, and family. Everyone’s invited!

The CanDo Give!Guide provides our community with a convenient and trusted “one-stop hub” way to support Napa County nonprofits.
Whether you are a first-time donor or someone who regularly gives to causes about which you care, CanDo’s Napa Valley Give!Guide is for you.
Our goals are simple: To annually raise awareness and funds in support of the exceptional work of local nonprofits serving Napa County residents.
Since 2013, the Give!Guide has raised over $7 million for 167 local nonprofits!
