How We Impact the Community
The Friends of the Napa Library’s (FOL) purpose is to support the Napa Library’s diverse programs, activities and services. Some of the programs and activities for all ages that we support include: drop-in tutoring for homework; tech help with devices including tablets and phones; and a Genre (Book) Club for tweeners to discuss genres such as graphic novels, historical fiction and adventure themes.
The popular Memory Lab provides opportunities to scan photos and documents, digitize film and negatives and convert VHS tapes into digital files. Of particular interest to FOL are the programs for children: the Summer Reading Program (SRP) “All Together Now” offers children from ages 3 to 11 the chance to track their summer reading to earn rewards and join others for special events over the summer and the Summer Library Adventure is designed to reach children ages 0 to 2 and their families with early learning activities.
