How We Impact the Community

Many people know the Salvation Army for our holiday toy drives (we provide gifts and assistance for families who would otherwise go without during the holiday season) and meal assistance (we serve an average of 180 hot meals per week day). But fewer people know how much else we provide the larger community.

We are proud to provide a range of social services, including rehabilitation programs for individuals struggling with addiction, disaster relief, utility/rental assistance, and food assistance for those in need. In addition, our community center is a community hub, offering recreational activities, educational programs, and social services that strengthen community bonds and support overall wellbeing in a safe, public space.

We are one of the first organizations to respond during natural disasters, providing food, shelter, and emotional support to those affected. We run programs for youth development, educational support, mentoring, and recreational activities to help young people thrive. As a Christian organization, we provide spiritual guidance and support to those who seek it, contributing to the overall well-being of individuals. We engage community members in volunteer work, fostering a sense of civic responsibility and solidarity among residents.
